TWINS NURSERY

I had so much fun decorating the twins' nursery! I decided to go with a "woodland creatures" theme to keep it gender neutral. Jack and Lily needed double the baby stuff and their room is not very big, so space saving items like smaller gliders and mini cribs kept the room feeling cozy but not crowded.  Photos were taken by Linzy Pelt of LP Photography for Houston Family Magazine's upcoming November issue. Check out the pictures below along with shopping links!

SITTING AREA: My husband Kyle and I both have to rock a baby at bedtime, so two gliders were necessary. We found these cost efficient ones at Target that were small enough to fit in a cozy corner.

SLEEPING: A lot of the twin mom blogs said that mini cribs are great for twins since you need two of them and both can fit along one wall in a smaller room. I decided to go with the Emerson crib from Pottery Barn Kids. It's natural washed finish looks great with the hand made felt woodland creatures mobiles from The Mobillion shop on Etsy (links below). The cribs also look great against their accent wall with wallpaper from online wallpaper company Anewall!

DETAILS: I come from a very long line of artists and their artwork makes me incredibly nostalgic. I hung up my great-grandmothers duo bird paintings (one for each twin!) and paired them with my favorite childhood books to create a decorative wall. I'm so glad rattan is back in style these days because these rattan wall shelves I got from Urban Outfitters Home (link below) look great with their vintage paintings and classic children's books. I painted the bottom half of the wall green(on three of the walls to complete the look and at the same time, draw your eye around the room to the accent wall complete with wallpaper. And you know I  had to get a letterboard sign for those cute Instagram monthly twin photos, y'all!
